One of my favorite hobbies is going to concerts! I try to go to a few concerts a year because I have a love for music and I prefer to spend my money on making memories! When I heard about the free, yes free, Alabama concert hosted by Independence Bank of Mayfield, KY a few months ago I knew I wasn’t going to miss it! I have so many memories growing up listening to Alabama’s music. One of my most fond memories is when I would ride in “Old Red” the pick up truck with my dad, windows rolled down, drinking Sprite, eating honey roasted peanuts, jammin’ to old country music.
The set, catering, and performances exceeded all of my expectations! Independence Bank did it right and Alabama is still putting on such an amazing and energetic show. They sound exactly like they did in my dad’s pickup.
One issue I always run into when going to concerts, as most girls do, is picking out my outfit! When I was thumbing through my closet looking for the perfect concert attire, I was so excited to stumble upon my new two-piece crop top dress from New Look (Product Codes: Top- 540720069 Skirt- 540719969) because I love the floral print and it was the perfect weather and occasion to wear it! The best part about this dress is that it is on sale for $14!!! I’m all about finding good deals and most of them come from online shopping. This website is a boutique based in Europe, so everything is priced in euros, but the currency translates to almost the same as USD (1 euro equals 1.18 USD). The shipping was extremely fast (5-8 business days) and the prices are Forever 21-good! I’m not much of a cowgirl boot-wearing kind of gal, so paired the outfit with my go-to, go-with-everything beaded sandals that sadly are on their last leg.
For soft curls, I used my favorite styling wand, the Dodo 5 Piece Pro Set, which has five different attachments for all different shapes and sizes of curls! It was only $30 and I found it on sale online for $22!! Just be sure to choose the US plug option because the standard option is an EU plug. It has three levels of heat and I always keep it on the hottest one. It is the perfect temperature for a quick and perfect curl! My favorite attachment for loose ringlets is the tapering wand pictured below.
I’m a minimalist when it comes to jewelry, but I love a cute pair of sunglasses! Grab your favorite sunnies and you’re good to go!
This “home grown country girl” had a fun and unforgettable night at the concert! I’m so thankful for the chance to see another one of my favorite bands and for these sweet new memories with my Momma and Charles!
